Spring Greening Schedule
Important Dates 2013
- February 10: Spring Greening event registration opens.
- March 1: Late registration begins. Volunteers registering after March 1st will be subject to increased registration fees and will receive project assignments on site.
- March 8: Project assignments are distributed to volunteers.
- March 11-22: Spring Greening!
Event Schedule for General Volunteers
The following event schedule will repeat during each of the two weeks of Spring Greening 2013:
Monday: Orientation & Project Set Up Day
- 9:00-9:30 am: Breakfast, Registration, Paperwork
- 9:30-10:00 am: Welcome and Orientation
- Welcome from SG Directors (5 min)
- Safety Orientation (10 min)
- Sustainability Orientation (5 min)
- 10-11:30 work on projects / project set up
- 11:30am-12:30pm: Lunch
- 12:30-3:00pm: Holy Cross neighborhood walking tour (optional)
- 12:30-4:00 project set up, materials gathering; prep for week.
Tuesday-Thursday: Work Days
- 8:30-9am: Breakfast, Late Registration
- 9am-11:30 am: Hands-on Educational Event (Capacity 35 volunteers)
- 9-11:30am: work on projects
- 11:30am-12:30pm: Lunch
- 12:30-5:00pm: Projects
- 5:00-5:30: Clean up
Tuesday: Barbecue!!
Wednesday 7:00pm: Crawfish Boil!
Friday: Project Completion
- 8:30-9am: Breakfast, Late Registration
- 9am-11:30 am: Hands-on Educational Event (Capacity 35 volunteers)
- 11:30am-12:30pm: Lunch
- 12:30-4:00pm: Complete Projects, Clean up and return to Village
- 4:00-5:00pm: Goodbye
